Q: Why Choose PF Reilly and Simonton DaylightMax?
A: Maximum Daylight, Energy Efficiency, Syling Options & Installation.

When you hire PF Reilly to replace your windows, we give you a choice of two installation methods.  You can choose from either new construction or retrofit window install.  A retroift install consists of installing the replacement window inside the frame of the exisitng window.  This is the most common method of replacing windows because the interior and exterior of the original window are not disturbed.   The new replacement window is ordered smaller than the original window.  For this reason the Simonton DaylightMax ™is an excellent choice because it offers more glass and less frame.  Simonton Daylight Max lets in more light… that’s all there is to it.   The Simonton DaylightMax Window has a unique frame design making it more energy efficient, far exceeding the ENERGY STAR ™standards and providing you with lower heating and cooling cost.  If design and styling options are what you’re after,   Simonton Decorum™ is the answer.  With 9 different custom exterior colors and multiple hardware finishes like satin nickle and dark bronze.  With decorative glass and grid designs, the Decorum options are sure to make your home stand out in the neighborhood.

Who's the right Contractor and whats the right Replacement Window?

replacement-windowsDid you know that there are industry standards that are available to you, the consumer, that ensure you get what you are paying for?

The industry standards for window replacement are set forth by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), and the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC).

Who is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA)? The AAMA is a material-neutral organization made up of people, like you - people who are concerned about the direction of their companies and their industry.

AAMA brings together the professionals of window, door, skylight, curtain wall, and storefront manufacturing companies - both large and small - from all across the U.S. and internationally to represent their individual and shared concerns.

AAMA has become recognized for the development of standards that provide third-party validation of product performance and quality.

Who is the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC)?
NFRC is a non-profit organization that administers the only uniform, independent rating and labeling system for the energy performance of windows, doors, skylights, and attachment products. Their goal is to provide fair, accurate, and reliable energy performance ratings so that:

Architects, builders, code officials, contractors, homeowners, and others can compare different products and make informed product choices.
Building officials, state government employees, and others involved in code development and enforcement can determine if products meet local codes.
Government- and utility-run energy efficiency programs can establish performance requirements and standards.
Manufacturers have a fair and level playing field to compare products and an accurate method of showing the energy benfits of new designs or technology.
However, it is also important to know that manufacturers are not required to submit their products for testing to AAMA and NFRC. Without certification, any claims that the manufacturer makes about their products have not been 3rd party validated.
